Wrapped Crypto (Reserve Assets)โ€‹

Wrapped tokens are bridged versions of external cryptocurrencies on the Unit Network blockchain. When you deposit BTC, you receive BTCU โ€” a 1:1 representation on-chain.

How wrapping works:

  1. You send crypto (e.g., BTC) to a designated vault address
  2. Off-chain workers verify the transaction
  3. Wrapped tokens (BTCU) are minted and credited to your wallet
  4. Original crypto is held securely in decentralized vaults

Key roles:

  • Treasury backing โ€” Held in token treasuries as collateral
  • Trading โ€” Actively traded on DEXes
  • Token sales โ€” Used to purchase tokens during sale rounds
  • Cross-chain bridge โ€” Connect external blockchains to Unit Network
warning

Unit Network exclusively supports native networks for deposits. For BTC, use Native SegWit โ€” not BEP20 or any other network.

Stable Tokensโ€‹

22 fiat-pegged tokens provide price stability for transactions, trading, and savings. They are over-collateralized by reserve assets held in their banks.

Primary token: USDU โ€” Used as the quote currency for every DEX pair (TOKEN/USDU).

Key properties:

  • Over-collateralized for stability
  • Transparent on-chain reserves
  • Minted on purchase, burned on redemption

Industry Tokensโ€‹

Sector-specific tokens unite individuals, businesses, and communities within a specific industry under a decentralized framework.

  • Max supply: 10 million per industry
  • Treasury: 90% of sale proceeds locked; 0.5% of trades flow in
  • Use case: Like a diversified index of the future token economy for that industry

Sample tokens: MUSIC, TECH, FOOD, ART, FASHION, PROPERTY, HOTEL, CARS, AI, SOLAR, MOVIE, FOOTBALL, and many more.

City Tokensโ€‹

Geographic tokens connecting residents, businesses, and local initiatives in decentralized urban economies.

  • Max supply: 10 million per city
  • 39+ active cities including LONDON, TOKYO, DUBAI, NEWYORK, PARIS, BERLIN, SINGAPORE
  • Expansion plans: 200+ cities planned globally

Same economic model as industry tokens โ€” treasury-backed, trade-fee-funded, limited supply.

User-Created Tokensโ€‹

Anyone can create a token for brands, memberships, communities, or businesses โ€” no coding required.

Every user-created token automatically includes:

  • Decentralized Exchange (DEX)
  • Bank for supply management
  • Treasury for reserve backing
  • Bond and pool staking
  • Sale rounds for fundraising
  • Profile page and leaderboard
