BridgeA mechanism for transferring assets between different blockchains
BurnPermanently removing tokens from circulation, reducing total supply
City TokenA token representing a specific city's decentralized economy (e.g., LONDON, TOKYO)
CollateralAssets locked to back a token's value or secure a position
Constant ProductThe AMM formula (x ร— y = k) used by Unit Network's exchange
Core TokenOne of the 18 foundational tokens on Unit Network
CustodianAn entity responsible for securely holding assets on behalf of others
DAODecentralized Autonomous Organization โ€” community-governed entity
DEXDecentralized Exchange โ€” peer-to-peer trading without intermediaries
ExtrinsicA Substrate transaction โ€” any external input that triggers state changes
Floor PriceMinimum token value = Total Treasury Value รท Total Supply
GasTransaction fee on blockchains like Ethereum (Unit Network uses percentage fees instead)
GovernanceThe process by which token holders make decisions about a project's direction
Impermanent LossPotential value reduction when providing liquidity due to price changes
Industry TokenA token representing a specific industry sector (e.g., MUSIC, TECH)
KYCKnow Your Customer โ€” identity verification process
LiquidityThe ease with which a token can be bought or sold without significant price impact
Liquidity PoolA pool of token pairs that enables AMM trading
LPLiquidity Provider โ€” a user who contributes tokens to a liquidity pool
MainnetThe live, production blockchain network (as opposed to testnet)
MintCreating new tokens and adding them to circulation
Multi-sigA wallet requiring multiple signatures to authorize transactions
NodeA computer running the blockchain software, validating and relaying transactions
OracleSystem that provides real-time external price data to the blockchain
PalletA Substrate runtime module โ€” Unit Network's building blocks
Pool StakingProviding liquidity to earn a share of trading fees
Private KeyA secret cryptographic key that proves ownership and authorizes transactions
RedemptionBurning tokens to receive proportional treasury assets
Reserve AssetExternal cryptocurrency bridged to Unit Network (BTC, ETH, DOT, etc.)
RuntimeThe business logic of a Substrate blockchain, composed of pallets
SlippagePrice difference between expected and actual trade execution
Smart ContractSelf-executing code on a blockchain (Unit Network uses pallets instead)
Stable TokenA fiat-pegged token (e.g., USDU = US Dollar)
Staking WorkerOff-chain agent that verifies transactions and provides price data
SubstrateBlockchain framework by Parity Technologies, used to build Unit Network
Token IDUnique on-chain identifier for each token (UNITCOIN = 0)
Token SaleA structured fundraising event where tokens are sold at set prices in rounds
TrancheA tier in the vault system based on locked UNITCOIN value
TreasuryImmutable reserve of assets backing a token's floor price
TVLTotal Value Locked โ€” the total assets deposited in DeFi protocols or staking
Unbonding PeriodWait time between unstaking and receiving tokens (0โ€“28 days)
UNITCOINThe native utility token of Unit Network (Token ID 0)
USDUThe primary USD-pegged stablecoin and quote currency for all DEX pairs
ValidatorA node operator who participates in consensus and block production
VaultA collateralized custody mechanism for cross-chain deposits
WalletSoftware for managing blockchain accounts, viewing balances, and signing transactions
Wrapped TokenAn on-chain representation of an external cryptocurrency (e.g., BTCU = wrapped BTC)
YieldThe return earned on staked or deposited assets, expressed as APY
